Learning AppleScript?

  • Subject: Learning AppleScript?

I want to know more about Apple script but without being (costly) online all the time. I tried downloading a AppleScript Guidebook (beginners information) from Apple's web site and I installed it in /Developer/Documentation/Help. Fair enough, it showed up, but more than one level deep, no link worked.

(Apple Help is such an underdocumented, absolute disaster, btw, it is the worst time consumer on my system with completely inexplicable behaviour)

So, I want to learn AppleScript. Is there a PDF to download somewhere?

I am running Mac OS X 10.1.3 with Dec 2001 Developer Tools.
