As an out of work Mac programmer, I would like to believe this but
I don't believe its the case.
Considerations such as:
domain knowledge
code analysis skills
program design skills
debugging skills
writing maintainable code
platform knowledge
able to code productively the first week
better than average productivity
quick learner
are irrelevant against job requirements
such as "4 years of experience programming in VC++".
