Well, I think this might be a problem with the Service architecture,
but before I try to file a bug, I'd ask here:

On first logging in to OSX, the hotkey for my service (OpenService,
source at http://www.osxtreme.net/software/OpenService ) doesn't seem to work.
Hitting command-slash just produces the OS Beep.

If I use the mouse to open the Application Menu (the dynamically
named one, "Terminal" for instance, that has "Services" in it),
and then let it close - don't even have to select anything, or open
the Services sub-menu, then the hotkey magically starts working.

This happens with other services as well, such as OmniWeb's Open URL,
so I don't think it's necessarily a bug in my code.

This is a known problem.
