Completely off-topic! Network time server 1 hour behind ?

  • Subject: Completely off-topic! Network time server 1 hour behind ?

Hi everyone,

I'm running Mac OS 9, and using the Time/date control panel, I have
chosen to use a Network Time Server.
For a long time (more than a week!), I had problems with stores closing
one hour too early.
I don't think that Apple knows that the 3 time-servers are one hour
behind, eg. it's really 10:45 here now,
but the computer says 09:45.
If I click the "Daylights savings time", the time will change to 08:45,
which means it would be 2 hours off..

So I'd like to ask how many of you guys have this problem; is it only in
Denmark, because our rules do not follow the rest of the world, or is it
actually the case for the guys from Australia as well ?

Another possibility is that there's a bug in the control-panel, and the
people running Mac OS X do not suffer from the problem.

(Feel free to send me the reply off the list, because I'd expect a bunch
of replies on this one.)

Love,
Jens
