Of course, that's what it's intended for. There are certain tasks where you can experience major speed boosts by using VE, but it's not intended to be a solution for everything.

Hi,
I couldnt agree more, but i was just curius, and i thought i might the sales of my opcomning apps! But after reading about it, its obviuse that Cocoa is dramaticly accelerated by AltiVec, take for instance chunky apps like iDVD and OmniWeb, and some of the big UNIX apps with Cocoa frontend, they all run alot faster with AltiVec then even on G4ers without AltiVec!
