Marco Binder meinte doch tatsdchlich:

Of course it was f****** bullshit what this guy posted (to continue his tone, which certainly isnt the way I use to converse). My explaination for his posting was, that he must be TOO proud of his English. Probably he wants everyone to go through such a pain and learn another language. Its just stupid. Just forget it and PLEASE dont think, that that was a typical German opinion.

why on earth are you still posting to this list???

we settled this via pm, didn't we?
i even settled this with all the other guys - pm.

and why do you feel the need to tell anybody that "that was not a typical german opinion"? what has our nationality to do with this? why bring it up???

and, no, i'm not proud of my english. in fact i feel that it hinders me, it limits my abilty to express my thoughts. and it's because of that limitation that i'm unable to finetune every sentence (although i admit that i didn't try very hard, hehehe...).

let's end this. apologies to those who had to go through this thread. i didn't mean to say that anyone here was promoting single-language-whatever - i felt offended by john's comment, i overreacted, i didn't bring my point across, i messed up, it all came out wrong, sorry, sorry, sorry. i mean it, really. apologies...

the fact remains that people who don't have english as their native language are handicapped in various ways using this list, using the dev-tools, using mac os x, and that it obviously is very hard for english, irish, americans to fully understand that.

we get a crippled experience, that's all, and it'd be nice if people could acknowledge that.

apologies again.

m
