Finder's going to destroy the name.

The *ONLY* reasonable way is the NSWorkspace. Other reasons apart, it's since if there is another Finder with another trash, it would patch NSWorkspace so that its trash is consistently used by the rest of the world. If you don't use standard API, all such things would break.
