Cocoa WebObjects

Okay, I do not want to resurrect a thoroughly dead horse, but I recently installed the developer version of WebObjects 5.2 with the intention of getting to know the product better, and lo and behold, I saw something very, very strange (and exciting) in the New Project dialog box...

Under WebObjects, there was a listing for creating a new Cocoa Enterprise Objects Application. Although all the linked frameworks are Java, it appears that you can write all your own code in Objective-C (the project's entry point is a "main.m" class not a java class).

Has Apple given us back EOF/Cocoa? Or is there some specific, limited purpose for this project template? Anyone know the scoop?
