[OT] jobs?

  • Subject: [OT] jobs?

Hi,
I know this is tangential to Cocoa programming, but where exactly do people find employment doing Cocoa programming? If I go to Monster.com and do a search on "Cocoa," I see several jobs in Cocoa Beach, FL and one position where Cocoa is a plus for some web work. (Not that "Carbon" is much better.) I know Apple has postings for application programmers, but where else? Aren't there supposed to be people doing bioinformatics work on PowerMacs?

I made a conscious decision to learn Objective-C and Cocoa this year, and I think I've gotten fairly adept, but it isn't helping me get a job. It's looking more and more like I should have taken up C# or at least updated my Java skills. I like the Cocoa environment, and would love a job working in it, but the market seems to be saying otherwise.

Just frustrated and hopeful there is some secret jobs site I've just missed.
