Hey there,
This is my first post on these lists. Been part of the ADC since early 2000, studying cocoa since dev.pre. 4 (although am not too in depth due to other priorities...college).

Well i finally managed to graduate in June, and am still unemployed. I've been actively looking for a job for some time now. My degree is in CS, and the only interview i've gotten so far is for an Apple Store, and didn't even get that.

It's no secret that the world is going through recession and that the Tech industry is the hardest hit. But more so is the Mac market in my opinion. This market is 5% of the entire industry and has not been spared with the current economic slump.

Having said that i love using macs and developing in Cocoa, but for practical reasons, i'm going to have to put my mac-life in the back seat and maybe even learn Visual Studio, SQL, etc...cause there just are not any jobs out there for mac programmers. The only demand is from Apple, and even that is slim. Too many people competing for too few jobs.

Cheers,
Aaron Boothello.
