Good Morning:

I just went thru the same bag of worms-wasted a good bit of time. In
my humble opinion none of that stuff works.

But it is easier anyway to just go ahead and use "NSSavePanel" and
"NSOpenPanel"
and give them a proper array of file types. It was way less work than
trying to get the pList junk to catch ahold.
