Earthlink requires you to use their SMTP servers, in an apparently
anti-spamming measure. Make sure you're using smtp.earthlink.net (or
whatever it is these days - I haven't used ELN for quite some time now)
and not something external like smtp.mac.com.

This just started a day or two ago, after all of Apple's email lists
apparently went down for several hours in the afternoon.
Anybody know what's happening? Is this a variant of the automatic
vacation
mail response?
