proper location for a database file

Hi,
My little audio CD database app, InCDius, creates a database file. Right now it creates it at the path:
{root volume}/Library/Application Support/Generally Helpful Software/InCDius/
which means there is one database per computer. First, I'm thinking that Macs are personal computers and even if they are shared, perhaps people who shared a computer might also share a CD collection. But I'm unsure of myself, and am wondering what choices other people have made in similar situations. And is this the proper usage of the Application Support directory?

Perhaps, I should support a choice of locations, and a means to merge databases.
