interface with two mice: how ?

Hi,

I need to use two mice for my user interface. One to set the direction of a sphere for navigation and another one for the selection of windows which appear on the sphere.
How can I do that with Cocoa ?
Is it possible to configure an NSResponder to listen on a specific USB port ?
