The current compile does make a drag-n-drop install application bundle. A
.dmg is difficult for the developer to create (as they compile remotely on a
OS X machine) - but there was the solution to gzip (this is where some good
Cocoa developers are needed as currently most of the code is
Resources/Carbon and can't be gzipped).
...and as someone commented the fink port is not really a final solution.
The developer is looking for people to help with the interface etc so that
Bochs can become a mainstream Mac solution.
The current port compiles and runs PC emulation - they have that down pat
(even reading from the CDROM drive).... Just taking it "mainstream".

I'm sorry to have wasted others bandwidth with this...
