Hi all,
Not that one more opinion really matters, but I enjoy knowing about such
groups even if they're not in my area. It's nice to know they're taking
place and actually makes me wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to start
one here in San Diego... Any thoughts?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion Glen. Getting developers together
for
kibitzing, open source discussions and non-commercial purposes is usually
allowed on these lists. I've made the correction of sending through an
Entourage "group" so you can't see anyone else emailed. That ought to
address some of the perception issues you raise.
And if you want to come to the meeting next Fri. I'll buy you a cup of java
to make up. A few people have said they are going to try to make it so
that
is cool.
