Neither of which is true - both appear as standard Aqua apps, and there
are no speed differences that I'm aware of.

Drawer.h etc),
and will be the major API for OS X.
It's *a* major API for OS X, not *the* major API. Cocoa and Carbon are
equals in this respect.
Some of other of theirs arguments that no big software company haven't

Not at all. Most of the big companies that have chosen Carbon did so
because it's much, much closer to the API used for the Mac prior to OS X.
He takes the example of Microsoft and Adobe. But for me, Photoshop,
Illustrator etc... and Office X
are not great at all on OS X. I don't feel them good in OS X. Slow...
ugly (OS X is for me just a make up on
Office 2001)
Perhaps - but that's a subjective opinion, and regardless, it has
nothing at all to do with them using Carbon.
Where can i found documentation that compares Carbon and Cocoa up to
the smallest level in the system
integration...
The lowest level is Core Foundation and BSD; both Carbon and Cocoa are
layers atop that.
I want to prove him that Cocoa is better with something else that my
feelings.
But, that's the *best* reason there is to use Cocoa. Use what works best
for you - your users won't know or care which toolkit you used. And let
your friend use whatever works best for him; unless you're working
together on a project, his choice of toolkit doesn't affect you in the
least.
