Ack, at 10/10/02, Charles Srstka said:

What drag and drop abilities did ASP have before? I'm curious. Drag-and-drop is still more limited in Cocoa than in Carbon, but with Jaguar the situation is much better than it was before.

You could drag and drop *everything*. say someone needs the mem capacity, drag and drop the container onto a text field and it was all nicely formatted for you. (Below is from the 10.0.4 version of ASP)

Memory overview
Built-in memory: 768 MB
Location Size Memory type
DIMM0/J21 128 MB SDRAM
DIMM1/J22 128 MB SDRAM
DIMM2/J23 512 MB SDRAM

External L2 cache: 1 MB

As for Help Viewer, I wonder why they couldn't just have carbonized Apple Guide?

I have no clue what it was ever killed. it was the greatest thing EVER! (but dang hard to program for)

Actually, with the accessibility API, you could probably pretty easily make a cocoa implementation of it.
