As for Help Viewer, I wonder why they couldn't just have carbonized Apple Guide?

I have no clue what it was ever killed. it was the greatest thing EVER! (but dang hard to program for)

Just think - we could have had that instead of the piece-of-trash Help Viewer, and it probably would have been less work to boot, since they wouldn't have had to completely rewrite the thing.

Actually, with the accessibility API, you could probably pretty easily make a cocoa implementation of it.

Wouldn't be any good, because it wouldn't be preinstalled with Macs, and therefore newbies wouldn't have it. Plus, there's the whole issue of getting developers all to use your tool... if no one wrote documentation for it, it would be useless.
