Apple System Profiler also lost almost all of its formerly good AppleScript
support, but my guess is that it will be coming back shortly.

Why do you put a question mark after System Events? Its AppleScript support
is now vastly increased, allowing scripters to control the file system
without being tied to Finder, to add and remove Folder Actions (AppleScripts
attached to folders) for the first time since Mac OS 9, to add and remove
items from the Login Items list, and other things.

Help Viewer has certainly taken its lumps under Mac OS X, but though not yet
cured it is IMHO much improved in Jaguar. It's AppleScript support has also
been somewhat enhanced.
