Cocoa should be easier than learning C itself. And if you think that is nonsense please think about it for a while before slamming me.

Well, I hardly see how something which *includes* C (and a good bunch of other stuff) could ever be easier than C itself... Not speaking that all those Pascal people who had the misfortune to saw things like "i++>++j?i++:++j" did never regard C to be remarkably easy ;)

By the way: if you could somehow put yourself into a beginner's shoes, and with the help of a good editor, you would make a good author for the book(s) I'm hoping to see someday.

Thanks. Matter of factly, I've written twenty-odd ones already, alas, in Czech. Including a Cocoa-learning one (this one not a book, but an article series in local Chip). Offered (a translation of) the latter to O'Reilly, even, but oops.

If you happen to know of a publisher who is interested, I'd be just *delighted* to try. My teacher skills are said not to be that bad, after all (although that's something others have to judge).

You can take that as a very big compliment since in general I don't care for you very much.

To be frank, the sentiment is sorta mutual. Nevertheless, it happens to be a reason why I *do* take that as a big compliment and am *very* thankful indeed. After all you would hardly want to flatter me, which means something. Thanks!

Nice sense of humor, though!

Thanks again. Matter of factly I've always preferred a writing style of, if one can say so, somewhat anglo-saxon breed, to the grim continental references. Having occassionally some problems with that here, but still am trying to keep those text to be not just informing, but a fun, too...
