I certainly can't speak for Apple, but there are many of us who have made pests of ourselves on the list and to various people at Apple. In my experience the answer we usually get back from people at Apple (when there is any answer) is usually "there are currently no plans to bring back EOF Cocoa." They have not said that they won't ever bring it back (I'm sure if they saw it as a potential profit center or a make-or-break product in some desirable market it'd be back in a flash), but they have certainly made it seem like they have no intention of bringing it back in the near term. So far, they have also rejected suggestions to contribute the Obj-C / EOF code to the open source community(another thing some of us have pestered them about).
It's a crying shame and the loss of a great technology. I think our only hope is that someone will start an open-source project to recreate the technology, or at least to create a simulacrum of it.
Jeff
