OT - Cant Get ADC DVDs to play

Cant get DVDs from ADC to play. When I try to open the DVD error says (approx) "no media found". Also, DVD Player doesn't open automatically upon insertion of DVD, contrary to DVD prefs settings.

System 10.2.1 - also 10.1.x. Rented a movie and it played fine. Help!
