And another apropos of that. I am pretty sure bitching about whether Format alert should have this or that default button does not decrease the probability of formatting something you did not want the slightest bit.

On the other hand, presume the "format CD-RW" would be separated from formatting all those harddiscs! Well, *that* would decrease the probability indeed: I can't say about your workflow, but I initialize a CDRW pretty often, whilst I format a HD about once every five years. Which,
I guess, hints something about the appropriate UI -- something Apple, in my opinion, did not quite get.
