To keep things consistent throughout the OS X interface, however, "Okay" should probably be used, instead of "OK."

Neither. Though OK is probably used as a verb, or at least we can make it
out to be, in order for the most common button title to agree with the HIG
;)

If you think OK is to vague, then use a verb. That was my point. Dismiss,
for example, in your case.
