This question was asked back in May. Jaguar is now out.
Has this been addressed?
Does anyone have any example code that shows how to do this?

The ability to drag a file from a Cocoa app to the finder when the
file does not actually exist yet.
The problem is that the Finder is a carbon app and promiseHFS does not
work correctly between
Cocoa and Carbon.
