There is nothing like "immovable application-modal dialog", unless the
programmer explicitly takes pains to implement such a nonsense OS9ish
brute. No 10.2 news -- it was so from 1986 or so ;)
I've just been and fetched my best brain from the cupboard under the
stairs. I think the other one was coughing up an outdated gripe about
the behaviour of some OS 9 apps...
OTOH, truth is that sheets which are window-modal *are* immovable
relatively to the window, and thus they don't allow to check the window
contents (their slight transparency sometimes helps, but often does
not). Is that perchance what you meant?
That too. I'm never using that brain again.
And to Matt: Sorry, app-modals do behave exactly as you originally
described (except for closing).
