Welcome to the platform, Jason. I'm a bit intrigued: we sometimes have discussions here about how Cocoa/ObjC compares to APIs on Windows, but I am always left with a nagging doubt that it may be that we only think Cocoa is great because that is what we use, and that windows developers probably think what they have is the best because that is what they use, and linux developers.... you get my point.

I have never programmed anything on windows before, so I don't know what the APIs are like. Now that I have found a real-life developer switcher, I want to know your view: Is Cocoa really better, or is that just misguided patriotism for our platform?
