Force iCal to refresh from .ics?

  • Subject: Force iCal to refresh from .ics?

I need to be able to update a .ics while iCal is running and force it to take note of the changes. I know that iSync can do this, if you sync to a .Mac account on two different computers, for example. I have tried looking for distributed notifications which could help, such as CALSyncTerminatedNotification, but sending them myself appears not to have the correct effect on iCal. iSync sends lots of com.apple.SyncServer.updateNotification messages with different userInfo keys, and iCal appears to register for them, but I can't see how to make it listen (not to mention I'd be worried about leaving the SyncServer in an inconsistent state).

There is no mention of anything in the AppleScript dictionary which would do this, either. Anybody got any ideas?
