I honestly don't know what you mean now. As far as I know there is some coding that must be done to get this to work? Do you really mean that the only thing I must do is to type a icon name in PB? It does not work.

Ah, sorry. I was a little quick on the default reply to a "custom icon" question. :)

More than likely you have it working already with what you have done in PB. You won't see the results until you logout and log back into your account. After that, the Finder will pick up the change to the files.

I'm not sure if quitting the Finder and restarting it will work too. You might check that.

Sorry, but it seems that this is not the code I am looking for. Let me explain.

If I save a file from my app, I want the icon on the saved file to always be like the icon I set in Project Builder/Targets/Document Types/Icon File. The sketch app does it but it's a bit too complicated for me (a newbie). So I am searching for a small app that focus on just the icon code to learn from.

Dear list!

I have looked at the sketch app and tried to learn how to have my own icon on the files I save. But the app is pretty big and a little complicated for a newbie like me so. Are there any other example code that focus on just how to get your own icon when saving files?

Peter

Take a look at the IconFamily code by Troy Stephens, et. al.
