NSToolbars and NSToolbarItems

Ok, can I have a toolbar item that MUST be in a toolbar in a given position. For example, in Safari, the search text field and url text field are always there. I want to know if there's a way to make it so that a certain item always appears at the very right of my toolbar, regardless, but allows every thing else to be customized.
