While I don't want to leave the impression that Apple's documentation
is adequate over all, it took less than 3 minutes for me to find both
the tech-note and the mamasam archive link. The tech note was at the
top of the result list for a Google search on "launch services > default"
Well yeah, same here. It's not a matter of finding something if you're
looking for it, it's amatter of knowing what to look for. I had no
idea Launch Services even existed.
