How can you get an iTunes-like outline view?

The outlineview that iTunes uses has some features that aren't standard to the default outlineview, but are really nice.

- Resizes column title in real-time with splitview
- Smaller font
- Icons
- Scrollbars only show up when needed

I'm having trouble figuring out how they did these things. I have been able to get icons in my outlineviews using NSBrowserCell, but that always leaves whitespace on the right side. Can anyone enlighten me on how they get these behaviors?
