Text dragged on to the application icon?

  • Subject: Text dragged on to the application icon?

Hi,

I have been wrestling with this problem on and off for about two weeks and I am unable to find an answer.

The problem: Text is selected in TextEdit and then dragged on to my application icon. How do I (can I?) get the application to respond to this?

I can get this to work with files by using 'Document Types' in the info.plist. etc. I can get it to work with text dragged on to the application window. However, I can't find a way of getting things to work for text dragged on to the application icon.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Nick
