I would also add that aquatint, for the less-artistically inclined, is
easily worth it's (very low) commercial price tag. GC is alright, too, but
I prefer Photoshop ( I own both; GC was bundled with my G4). My copy was
free with my printer (LE 5.0), and it works great. All of my app icons were
done using nothing other than Photoshop, and the next one will certainly
involve Aquatint as well.
