I have not been to a Cocoa kitchen, but I attended many other Apple
kitchens in Europe a few years ago. I recommend them very highly. The
format is quite unlike any "course" I have attended. There is a
limited amount of formal instruction. Maybe any new and unusual
concepts are outlined. Most of the time is taken up with one-on-one
(or maybe several) mentoring by highly experienced Apple engineers.
This is not the place for absolute beginners, but if you have a project
partially written and you need a friendly expert to look at what you
have and help you through the issues I can think of no better
environment.
It's also a lot of fun and you get learn a lot from seeing what others
are doing. It's a great way to start a relationship with Apple
engineering that could be invaluable to your company.

does anybody have experience with the recently advertised Cocoa
Kitchen sponsored by Apple? It sounds useful but I'll have to travel
across the country and I imagine accommodations will not be cheap so I
have to convince powers that be that it's worth the expense-- any
thoughts? thanks
