Can anyone comment on the level of effort required to port a legacy application from NextStep to Cocoa? Has anyone does this? I would very much like to hear about your experiences.

One recent example of this may be the NoteTaker application, from AquaMinds.

I don't know how much code was converted, vs reimplemented, but the app
is very similar to the old NeXTSTEP app NoteBook. Some of the same people
are involved, so it could be converted code or a more complete reimplementation.
(As I understand it, the original code belongs to Netscape now, but I could be
misinformed.)

It may be worth trying to get in touch with them, though you
might have to resort to using Internic domain ownership records
to get an email. Otherwise, you could try using their
'feedback' page at www.aquaminds.com.
