Consider ProjectBuilder's animated tab views. Both of these objects
have been around for about 4 years (note that Finder is not Cocoa).

Should we be patient? Yes. Will Cocoa always lag behind Apple's
application development? Yes. Do I think Apple could do better? Yes.
Yes.. these would be nice.. but as Ali said (and I'm sure you know
from your time inside).. complaining here isn't going to get them any
quicker..
radar, dts feedback... maybe.. but here? nah.
