Also, check out Safari (not the browser) which is a subscription site that many publishers are using to put their books out in electronic form.

The O'Reilly books end up in there really fast (mine was in there almost at the same time you could buy it), but Addison Wesley, Sams, Peachpit, Que, New Riders, and other publishers get their books in which means that most of the books should appear at some point. And of course, you could always email the publisher to tell them that you want it in there asap.
