Hi all...
Still learning the ins and outs of OOP and Cocoa. I have one question,
which I believe is at least tangentially on-topic.
I've notice that most Cocoa apps feature different keyboard shortcuts
for selecting text, other than the ones we've gotten used to in OS 9
and Carbon -- opt-shift-arrow instead of comm-shift arrow.
Why was this change made? As a user, and a potential programmer, all it
has done is confuse me, especially when I'm going from app to app, such
as from MS Word or something in Classic, to selecting text in Mail to
drop somewhere else?
Was just curious and was wondering if any of you developers have some
insight -- or justification? -- for the change.
Regards,
