1st: how to remotely monitor StartupItem ? (I men start, stop, restart
them), I want to write a GUI doing that for my services
I m not experienced in networking. Can't say much. It probably heavily
depends on what kind of startup item you have there. You made it
yourself? TCP possible? Would Rendezvous be enough? Anyway, try the
documentation folder on your harddisk (might not cover your question in
this case):
file:///Developer/Documentation/Cocoa/TasksAndConcepts/
ProgrammingTopics/Misc/IACPage.html
2nd: how to do do a drawer (like the mailboxes in the mail app), I
didn't see any NSDrawer in the AppKit
Go look again! ;-) You might even find in in IB, although its even
easier to find it in the AppKit doc. Seriously, try the documentation
folder on your harddisk:
file:///Developer/Documentation/Cocoa/TasksAndConcepts/
ProgrammingTopics/Drawers/index.html
3rd: how to write a control panel applet
Never did that, actually. Still, I might be able to give you some
advice- try the documentation folder on your harddisk ;-)
file:///Developer/Documentation/AdditionalTechnologies/PreferencePanes/
index.html
any tip or link or idea would be good :-)
I hope I could help! And oh, yes, for more introductory questions like
the ones above, maybe it help to tell you, that I found all of the
quoted linkes within less than ten seconds (all in all) on this one
wonderful page. Guess where... right! :-P
The documentation on your hard disk:
file:///Developer/Documentation/Cocoa/CocoaTopics.html
Cheers,
Marco
