What do I hate about Interface Builder/Project Builder? Documentation,
instability, a surprising mix of user friendliness and unfriendliness.
I have had Project Builder crash on me a few times while just
editing. It also at times seem to lose some of the text and you have
to page up and page down to see it again.
I'm not crazy then! I've found dozens of [somewhat] reproducible input
sequences which result in either the rest of the visible page
disappearing, or - more strangely - just sections of the current code,
like the rest of a {} block or something. I'm happy we've got
interesting bugs at least, but I'd rather not have any.
I know this is probably more appropriate on the Project Builder list,
but while I'm here... does anyone else find Project Builder has bad
days, where it just won't work at all, no matter how many cleans or
reindexes or restarts you do? And sometimes when compiling code it
just... doesn't. Sits there indefinitely with the progress bar at
about 15%. And adding files to a framework that's being used by
another open project ends up crashing Project Builder sooner or later?..
Okay, I'm ranting now, so I'll stop - not that there isn't a long list
yet. Prior to the latest update (December, is it?) Project Builder was
flawless. But now, I usually have to restart it (or have it crash) at
least once an hour. Is that normal?
