Yes, but if you define your own shortcuts in the PBX Pref pane, then
the completion-dictionary bundle or the PBXtra are not taken in account
anymore :(

You're probably thinking of Objective Development's Completion
Dictionary, which uses the Escape key to insert text after an entered
keyword. I recently found it, and find it very useful to speed up
code entry -- everything from simple things like typing "nss<esc>" to
get "NSString *", to inserting multi-line chunks of common code (e.g.
save panel code). It also supports placeholder fields, and symbol
expansion. I highly recommend it.
