They are several Cocoa frameworks for PostgreSQL and MySQL out there,

OpenBase and FrameBase also come with Obj-C and/or C frameworks.
Valentina is another solution too.

Define a little bit more your needs:
multi-users/single user,
local access/remote access,
db embedded in the app or not,
SQL support or not,

will help to first select the right DB and eventually the adequate way to access it
