Does anybody knows if it will technically possible to get low cost G4

Do you mean taking the new motherboard and system architecture of the
G5 and putting in a G4 processor to lower the cost? Or do you mean
taking an old G4 motherboard and upgrading it to a new G5 processor?
The answer to both is no. Some of the big limitations in the G4's
design are why the G4 systems have such a low bus speed and don't
support DDR RAM very well. So it's just not possible for a G4 to take
advantage of all of the improvements we've seen in the G5 systems.
Also, from what I've read it's not going to be possible to use a G5
processor in an older G4 system. Even if you could put it in there the
G5 would be starved by having a lower bus speed and slower memory. So
the effort to upgrade a G4 to a G5 is too great and wouldn't give you
near the performance of a native G5 system.
