I don't understand the focus on speed. The intangibles are what set Macs
apart from the rest of the field. My wife can even use the Mac with ease and
handle problems that crop up. Heck, I would even comfortably give a Mac to
my mother who can't even program a VCR. I use (forced) both Windows and Sun
UNIX at work and can't wait to get home to my iMac. It has nothing to do
with computing power. It has everything to do with ease of use. As
developers, shouldn't we focus on performance in terms of ease of use rather
than pure computing power, especially when the majority of Mac users
probably have a lower performance Mac?
