I think I did file a bug on it about 7 years ago or something like
that. I guess it is still open? :-)

The last time the implementation changed was from NeXTSTEP -> OpenStep
and that is when I filed the bug, or worked with the NeXT engineer to
try to get it fixed, documented, redesigned or whatever.
