This would be really sweet (or perhaps really suite), but would not be a real solution unless they decide to give away the database app as they have given away the Address Book (and how they used to give away EOF).

However, their current database is based on FileMaker, which is a good database for some things, but miserable for SQL work, which is what a lot of people think of when they say database. Making a new app with a new (possibly borrowed, possibly open-sourced) back-end would be great (and a step in the right direction, if you ask me), but it is a considerable amount of effort.

Why can't they just give us EOF back? We'll be nice to it, Apple, we promise!
