But later on, he admits that higher level languages still have lots of
security holes:
"I don't believe that software written in high-level languages is free of
security holes: the number of bugs in Web applications written in Perl and
PHP is astounding. "
So what is he saying? That high level languages are good cuz.... Why?
Personally I don9t buy the 'CPU and memory is getting faster/cheaper" to me
that9s a cop-out - an unwillingness to think about performance. You don9t
have to write your code optimized to start, but why not keep it mind all the
way along?
This article is interesting, but ultimately discredits itself.
