Using NSRulerView without paper

  • Subject: Using NSRulerView without paper

I am looking for tips on how to use an NSRulerView when no conversion
to "points" comes to mind. For example I want to display an audio
waveform using an NSScrollView. It's basically working, but I want to
use the ruler to display the sample numbers with hash marks. And on
the vertical ruler I want to display amplitude. Both of these
quantities and independent of how many "inches" are visible on the
screen to the user.

Thanks for any help.
-Jesse
